Education: Bachelor (in psychology or a related subject)+ Master + 450h of practice to be registered as a licensed psychotherapist by the UKCP. (United Kingdom Council of Psychotherapy)​

Costs: Psychotherapy might get covered by your social security.

Coach

A Coach can guide and help you to make, meet and exceed personal and professional goals. He'll help you develop your autonomy in order to reach your objectives, by identifying what's holding you back.

Education: Coaching is an unregulated profession in the UK. However, Professional coaches belong to a professional organization, with ethical requirements, standards of education, and ongoing training expectations

 

Costs: Coaching needs to be paid for privately.

Psychotherapists can choose from a variety of approaches to help you understand and explore how you feel. Some therapists also teach skills to help you manage difficult emotions more effectively.

 

There are several types of therapy such as: Gestalt therapy, CBT, Hypnotherapy, EMDR, Systemic therapy, Family therapy, etc.
